Leadership & Change Organizational Design

Question: Discuss about theLeadership Changefor Organizational Design. Answer: Introduction Leadership is the art of asking someone else to do something which an individual want to him to do because he wants to do it. Dwight D. Eisehower Leadership has been defined as both an area of study and a convenient skill which comprises of an ability of a person or a company to lead or guide other individuals, players or corporations (Korn Ferry, 2017). Also, as per the idea of transformational headship, an effective leader was regarded as an individual who does carry out certain acts like: Generates an inspirational dream for the predictable future; Inspires and motivates individuals to employ with that vision; Administers delivery of the vision; Prepares and creates a team, so that it was more successful at attaining the predictable dream (Kruse, 2013). But it has been observed that all the successful leaders must make use of their strengths in order to set an example for other individuals, as a result I should also make an attempt to minimize my weaknesses that interfere with their capability to lead. Also, being at the place to become an effective leader it would be stated that I should only have the capability and power to turn limitations into a affirmative features by way of careful attempts. At the same time, being a leader I should constantly work in order to boost the strengths of my ownself while seeking help from my mistakes to overcome weak qualities (The Centre For Organizational Design, 2012). So, being a leader it has been observed by me that in order to tap into ones own strengths initially ones own skills and leadership styles must be evaluated in order to know that on what areas a person is strongest and on what areas required to be worked upon (Grant Thornton, 2017). Also, in order to develop being a successful leader an individual must adopt and have a powerful tool i.e. the consciousness of ones own strengths and weaknesses (Buj, 2012). Being a leader I have experienced that I should also take a record of what I have done in the past and what all is correctly done. As there were repeatedly occurring issues in the work which were surely regarded as a sign for an area in which I need to devote and pay more attention to work on. But some of the basic strengths which I found in myself being a leader were: Confidence: being a leader I was confident and direct while putting up my viewpoints by having a comprehensible dream and at the same time i showed sympathy by being a tough instructor. Transparency: As a leader I was clear, genuine and devoted in regard to my team and friends as I helped them and leaded them in a way of building faith and being obsessive for work. Innovation: I also created new things or made something innovative in the work which was already created in order to be sporting and dynamic as per the need of the environment. And also so that people get motivated by observing my work and would work in the same manner. Open-minded: I am a broad minded individual and is flexible so that I could assume and work according to the changes which take place around me (Ray, 2017). But being a leader although I have a number of strengths but also at the same time I found certain weaknesses also today such as: Listening: when I initially became a successful leader I was a good listener as I listened to the needs of the other people but after sometime I turn out to be more and more secluded, less knowledgeable and gradually more rely on the out of date data as I left interest to work more. Multitasking- As a leader because of the attraction of reducing the pile up of work in the upcoming time, I began to infringe more and more on the capability of being a good leader to focus on a remarkable subject. As I was enthusiastic initially but when I saw so many people working I thought that I would work more and more as a result of which I was doing the work only fir impression which did not give good output. Snap Decision: the individual who I was when I became a leader was entirely different from what I am today as I am rapidly incorporating information, appraise the circumstance, call the play and get it correctly placed, more often than not in a way it was done previously. So, snap decisions granted by my side were not as reliant as they once were, but because i was the instructor and no one was telling me to work. Manipulation: As there has been a lot of work to be done and I being a leader was a strong instructor has a burden so I started manipulating the things. Also, I stated that my words would be last and no one would question me back i.e. I was stubborn and was not cooperative. So, it could be stated that I made wrongful use if my power (Peck, 2013). So, in order to develop the capability of being a leader certain constituents must be followed by my side and must abide by the rules. As the competent leadership was unquestionably regarded as one of the most significant factors in making and keeping a business which attains outstanding and sustainable consequences. In fact, in the present multifaceted and dynamic world, the requirement for strong leadership was observed to be greater than ever before. Also in order to improve the leadership qualities which were lacked in a leader I must consider that: An individual must have a clear vision; Know and utilize ones own strengths and gifts; Be passionate; Work in such a manner so that he may serve as a role model for others, etc (Skills You Need, 2017). Therefore, it could be concluded at the end after experiencing the above mentioned positive points and negative points while being a successful leader that whether I was consciously aware or it or not an individual would be observed to be leading my ownself and others. As being a leader I may not essentially have a large team to report to me in order to be considered as a leader but I must need to have effective leadership ability. Also, as leaders were observed to be the one who were positive, inspiring were better leaders as they were more valued by followers and have higher performing teams. So, such a quality to lead would only make a sense that an individual must strive to improve ones leadership skills and attain the most out of life for everyone. References Buj, M. (2012).
